Spring Update

Happy Spring, fellow Pilots!

When we launched in December, Back the Bluff had a goal of creating name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities for Pilot student-athletes that positively contribute to the Portland community and uphold the commitment of UP to make a difference in the world.

Thanks to you, we are well on our way to meeting that goal. We are proud to share some of the opportunities you helped make possible with your support.

We partnered with Holy Cross Catholic School – a neighborhood elementary school located just a few blocks from the UP campus – and invited Pilot student-athletes to attend practices for some of the Holy Cross basketball teams.

Not only did the Pilot student-athletes work with the teams to help improve their skills, they also were able to share their personal stories with them, answer questions, and help inspire them to keep working hard to become the best players and people they can be.

It was a joy to watch the Pilot student-athletes work with these kids, and it provided confirmation that Back the Bluff is uniquely positioned to make a real, positive impact on our community and on the Pilot student-athletes we are committed to support.

As we look ahead to the summer and fall, we are excited to continue partnering with you to create more opportunities like this, and we welcome your thoughts and suggestions about community organizations that we can partner with.

You can contact Back the Bluff here, and you can make a contribution here.

Thank you again for your support, and GO PILOTS!!!
